Environmental News

by Staff Writer

When it comes to global warming, the environmental news is pretty dire. Though there are factions that would have us believe that global warming is not having an effect on the environment, the documented facts prove otherwise. A plethora of scientists and researchers report significant findings that all point to the destructive results of our negligence regarding greenhouse gases.

At stopglobalwarming.org, we offer the very latest in accurate and truthful environmental news. For example, we feature a report on the ice shelf in Antarctica that collapsed in 2002 as a direct result of global warming. Scientists believe that a collapse of this magnitude has not happened in 11,000 years.

The environmental news related to global warming is not just occurring in far flung places, however. In the state of Montana, for instance, there is a startling environmental development taking place. The glaciers for which Glacier National Park is named are disappearing at an alarming rate due to global warming. The park started off in 1910 with 150 glaciers. Now there are only 37 and scientists predict that these may be completely gone by 2030.

It is unfortunately par for the course that environmental news related to global warming tends to be on the negative side. Regardless, only by facing the situation can we work towards a solution. If you are interested in finding out how we can all work together to stop global warming, sign up to become one of our virtual marchers here at stopglobalwarming.org.
