Vehicle Donation Maryland

If you’re a Maryland resident interested in donating a vehicle to charity, we at Special Kids Fund can be of assistance. Because we are classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, your donations to us are entirely tax deductible. Your donation will benefit special needs children across the country by funding important education programs, camps, therapy, and more.

We are able to pick up your car from almost anywhere in the state, including Annapolis, Baltimore, Bethesda, or outlying areas. When we arrive at your property, simply sign over the title of your car to us and receive our Charity 501c3 Car Donation receipt acknowledging your donation. You will also need to supply us with the “Maryland Notice of Security Interest Filing” form, showing that you have paid off the vehicle.

After you transfer the title, you should remove your plates from the vehicle and return them to the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles. Once the plates have been surrendered, you should cancel insurance on the donated car. If we sell your car for over $500 at auction, we will notify you of the gross sale amount so you can deduct it from your taxes. Otherwise, you are entitled to deduct the fair market value up to $500.
