Card Stock Paper
by Staff Writer
At Jackkyll Scraps, I have a collection of card stock that will meet all your needs for making greeting cards, scrapbook pages, paper constructions, gift tags and all kinds of paper crafts. I offer an absolute rainbow of colors, from the sheerest pastels to the most intense deep colors. Here on my site, there is a variety of textures and finishes, too, including smooth, sparkle and fiber finishes, and half-a-dozen textures.
You can choose to purchase your card stock in all kinds of combinations and quantities, from single sheets to bulk packages of 500 sheets. You can get monochromatic packs with three, four or five different shades of the same hue, such as all blues or all yellows. There are multi-packs in Rainbow, Spring Pastel, Heirloom and more in the Bazzill Inspirations collection.
Places We Love packs, also from Bazzill, collect colors in themed collections. The Martha’s Vineyard pack, for instance, contains applesauce, bottle glass, anchor, lobster bisque and lighthouse, while the Scottsdale Collection has salsa verde, travertine, saddle, copper and purple sage. Some papers in each collection are textured and some are smooth.
Glance through my gallery to get a few ideas, and then let your imagination run wild! Card stock is the perfect weight for any number of decorative techniques, including embossing, embroidering, apertures, pricking, decoupage and punching, to name just a few. It’s also easy to handle for stencil cutting or making cutable fonts. There’s almost nothing you can’t do with good card stock, so choose a few of your favorite colors and just dive in!
