Hip Hop Night Clubs
by Staff Writer
In most major cities, you can find many night clubs that play hip hop music on different nights of the week, while some play hip hop music all week long. For example, if you live in Philadelphia, Denim’s DJs spin hip hop music every Wednesday night, while DJs at Five Spot mix hip hop, funk, and reggae every Thursday, and Chrome’s DJs offer a mix of hip hop and reggae every Friday.
Hip hop night clubs have also become prevalent in cities that are visited primarily by tourists, including Las Vegas. Club Rain, inside the Palms Hotel and Casino, has quickly become one of the most popular night clubs in Las Vegas, due in part to its prominence in the Las Vegas edition of the reality show The Real World. The DJs at Rain play a mix of hip hop music and dance hits. The hip hop music is enhanced by the design of the club, which features an elaborate system for lighting effects, displays of cascading water, and fog.
While Club Rain may appeal to those seeking an energetic atmosphere with exciting special effects, the hip hop night club in the Bellagio offers a markedly different feel. Light Nightclub features European bottle service, as well many private booths around the dance floor, letting patrons choose how they will spend their evening.
As hip hop has gained popularity, hip hop clubs have sprung up throughout the United States and the world. From New York and Chicago’s Crobar, to Miami’s Club Deep, the common thread among these different night clubs is the prominence of hip hop in their music.
