Texas Exotic Hunting

Texas is home to the largest concentration of exotic game in the United States, with the populations of certain species far outpacing those in their native countries. At Desert Safaris, we offer clients the opportunity to hunt a wide variety species in the Texas Hill Country, executing our hunts safari-style in jeeps or four-wheel drive vehicles and without the use of blinds or feeders.

With their unique horns and hides, exotic game make superior trophies. Among the species you may choose to hunt for are sika deer, axis deer, fallow deer, blackbuck antelope, addax, scimitar horned oryx, and red stag, among others. These hunts are conducted on a pay-per-trophy basis, with harvest fees assessed upon the conclusion of your trip.

The fact that exotic game can be hunted year-around gives you endless flexibility when planning your trip. Of course, some seasons are better for certain species–we encourage you to contact us to determine the optimal dates for your preferred trophies. Each hunt may be booked for an unlimited number of days and includes a personal guide, hunting vehicle, and lunch and drinks in the field. Care of your trophy (dressing, skinning, caping and quartering) is also included.
