Texas Exotic Hunts

The world is full of creatures that make excellent trophies for sportsmen–but unfortunately, the populations of most of them are so small that hunting them is not an option. In West Texas, however, where many species of exotic game have been introduced and thrive on private property, it is now possible to experience the unforgettable thrill of pursuing and harvesting one of these unique creatures.

At Desert Safaris, we have exclusive access to thousands of acres of land in Texas Hill Country, the “exotic game capitol” of the United States. Among the species roaming the territory are axis deer, sika deer, red stag, fallow deer, blackbuck antelope, addax, and scimitar horned oryx. Surrounded by such a variety of game, you will be able to experience what it’s like to be on a true safari. These hunts are conducted on a “no-kill, no-pay” basis and harvest fees are calculated at the end of the trip.

Because these animals are non-native to Texas and there is no official season regulating their harvest, it is possible to hunt exotic game year around. This allows for maximum trip-planning flexibility and also provides a great option for those who want to indulge their passion for hunting outside of mandated seasons for indigenous species such deer and pronghorn.
