Trophy Whitetail Hunting

Trophy Whitetail Hunting

by Staff Writer

If you’re ready to finally harvest that once-in-a-lifetime trophy whitetail, we at Desert Safaris are eager to make it happen. Our yearly whitetail hunting adventures in South Central Kansas provide a prime opportunity to take a high-scoring buck.

On the average, our clients have been harvesting whitetails in the 145-160 B&C range, with some taking bucks that score close to 200 B&C. In order to keep our Kansas bucks of the highest quality and maintain an excellent success rate for our clients, we strictly limit the number of individuals who hunt on the property every year.

If you’re interested in hunting for whitetail with early muzzleloader weapons or arrows, we will be happy to arrange a trip for you. Our muzzleloader season falls in September, where temperatures are a balmy 50 to 95 degrees. Accommodations for these hunts are first-rate, consisting of a fully equipped lodge situated on a picturesque 18-acre fishing lake.

Because availability for these trips is limited, we urge you to book your trip as soon as possible. The application deadline for non-resident Kansas deer permits is May 31 each year. However, in the event that you miss the application deadline or don’t succeed in the drawing, we are able to offer you a transferable landowner tag at extra cost. For further details or to reserve your place on the trip, please don’t hesitate to contact owner Hunter Ross at 210-264-1745, 210-764-1727, or hunter@desertsafaris.com. We are located at 2935 Thousand Oaks, #6-217, San Antonio, TX, 78248.
