Whitetail Deer Hunts

by Staff Writer

Even if you’re a seasoned deer hunter, the quality of the whitetail in South Central Kansas is sure to impress you. At Desert Safaris, we are committed to giving each and every one of our clients an excellent chance of harvesting a true world-class trophy buck. We keep the number of hunters on our land low, ensuring that our clients continually enjoy excellent trophies and high success rates.

For non-resident deer hunters in Kansas, an application for a deer permit must be filed with the Kansas Parks and Wildlife Department by May 31 of every year. However, we are in possession of a number of transferable landowner deer tags and are able to offer them, for a fair price, to those who miss the deadline or are unsuccessful in the drawing.

The size and health of a whitetail deer is determined largely by diet, and our whitetails have access to plenty of protein and hearty grains on a year-round basis. A number of food plots of alfalfa, soybeans and rye are scattered on the property, providing an excellent location for elevated blinds. Comfortable ladder stands and pop-up blinds are equally established in the area. Rio Grande turkeys also populate the property and may be harvested for a fee during the trip if you wish.

Our owner, Hunter Ross, will gladly advise you on any aspect of this or our other exceptional trips. He can be reached any time by phone at 210-264-1745 or 210-764-1727 and by email at hunter@desertsafaris.com. Our main office is located at 2935 Thousand Oaks, #6-217, San Antonio, TX, 78248.
