Craps Betting Strategies
by Staff Writer
A good strategy when betting on craps is to stick with pass line bets with odds. You might want to make a few come bets or place the six and eight, but avoid placing bets in the middle of the craps table, where the house edge is higher.
Table selection can be important. Tables go through winning and losing cycles, so look for a hot table where there is evidence of players winning. Look for a table where there is a shooter using a “controlled throw.” A shooter using a controlled throw can be spotted by the consistent form and motion of their throw. A shooter with a controlled throw can set the numbers on the dice before throwing and influence the dice to land with predictable results. This will give you a great advantage over the house in betting.
Another good strategy is to play with a partner, with one person doing the shooting and the other doing the betting. This allows the person betting to remain focused on the betting and not be distracted by the dynamics of throwing the dice. If the person throwing the dice has mastered a controlled throw, so much the better.
The good news is that anyone can learn to use the controlled throw. Chris Pawlicki, known as “SharpShooter,” and Jerry Patterson developed the first workable dice control method in 1996, known as PARR, or Patterson Advantage Rhythm Roll. This method, as well as many other advanced gaming strategies, are available on DVD exclusively through Sailfish Productions at ProfessionalsInsight.com. With PARR in your repertoire, the odds are now in your favor!
