L’ecole #41 Winery
by Staff Writer
L’ecole #41 Winery resides in Washington’s Walla Walla Valley. This family-owned winery operates out of an historic schoolhouse; however, instead of the three Rs, the chalkboard now serves duty to list the wine prices. L’ecole was voted the Regional Winery of the Year in 2004 by Wine & Spirits, and has received several “Top 100 Wines in the World” awards from Wine Spectator!
L’Ecole is well-represented here at WinoWorld. We offer their Seven Hills Vineyard 2003 Semillon for less than $20 when you buy by the case. This wine is late-harvested, and fermented in French Oak. Semillon is a grape that is often blended with other whites, but L’Ecole offers this grape type as a varietal; in fact, this winery produces four different Semillons!

The L’ecole #41 Chardonnay 2003 has a wide fan base, and sells very well. It’s lively, engaging, and fruity, exactly what many people are looking for in a Chardonnay. L’ecole ferments their grapes in the Burgundian style, which they say makes for a strong, independent “spirit.”
WinoWorld wants our clients to branch out, to move from being wine enthusiasts to becoming wine adventurers! There is so much out there that is good, great, and even sublime. We spend all day, every day, finding this wine, and it’s all here for you, with tips, notes, and pure wine appreciation.
