ACH Payments
by Staff Writer
Whether paying employees or receiving payment for a service rendered or good received, ACH payments are more convenient, and offer a number of financial savings over more traditional payment modes. ACH, the Automatic Clearing House, allows companies to make and receive payments without the use of paper checks. Developed in the mid-’70s, it has since developed into a widely accepted system that has seen significant growth every year for over a decade.
Until recently, access to ACH payments was limited to financial institutions that had the necessary capital to purchase the necessary technology. Today, smaller companies have developed software solutions that allow a greater spectrum of companies to partake in the advantages of ACH payments. At Smart Payment Solutions, our flexible software can cover any company’s payment needs–whether it’s only a dozen a year or tens of thousands a month.
Processing ACH payments with Smart Payment Solutions is simpler than one might expect. In the case of a purchase, for example, a consumer simply needs to provide authorization to debit their account to the business where the purchase is made. This can be done in a number of ways: via telephone, email or manually written authorization. The business then transmits this information via our software, where it is processed and the transaction (whether single or recurring) is set up.
At Smart Payment Solutions, we understand that every business has a different volume of transactions and individual needs. To that end, we work closely with our clients as we implement our software–customizing it to their specifications. In addition to providing a superior product, we remain committed to our customers, offering customer service support whenever it is needed.
