Celtic Bands
by Staff Writer
Celtic bands make excellent engagement and wedding bands because they are worked with symbols that represent “eternity” and “harmony.” The Celtic Jewellery Shop is an online resource for all things Celtic! We feature handmade rings, brooches, pendants and other examples of Celtic, Scottish, and Norse men’s and women’s jewellery.
Our Celtic bands are offered in a range of metals, including platinum, sterling silver, yellow gold, rose gold and white gold. One of our most remarkable Celtic bands is the Celtic Creatures band, handmade in Scotland. This band has images of a number of animals, going all the way around the band. This symbolizes the strong connection between the early Celts and the animals of the forest.
The Morven is another of the styles of Celtic bands we offer. This style is engraved with some of the more esoteric Celtic knotwork. The name is Gaelic for “beautiful mountains,” and is incredibly striking in platinum and sterling silver.
Another of our styles of Celtic bands is called “The Celtic Swans,” and has stylized swans around the band. Our “Iona” style features a large, cut-out Celtic cross and is named for the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. It’s an ideal blend of Christian symbology and the pre-Christian metalworking traditions of the Isles.
