Diamond Promise Rings

by Staff Writer

Some of the most beautiful diamond promise rings are those that are inscribed with Irish and Scottish symbols of eternity and perseverance. Here at the Celtic Jewellery Shop, we have a number of bands that feature diamonds, including engagement rings. We also create pendants, earrings, kilt pins, brooches and other jewellery that is inspired by the designs of Ireland, Scotland and Scandinavia.

The Odran is one style of diamond promise rings we make by hand. This style has knotwork on the band and a sparkling diamond in the center. This ring was made for promises kept and honored, as symbolized by the unbreakable diamond and the never-ending line of the knotwork.

We also have a ring with thistle detailing on the band and a sparkling diamond in the center. The thistle is the national emblem of Scotland, and is a lovely and hardy flower, standing for strength in the face of adversity. A promise marked with a thistle can grow strong and beautiful, and blossom into something close and fine.

We also create a number of lovely band without stones, and we have a good selection of wedding bands with such striking designs as the Glasgow Rose, an art nouveau creation inspired by the work of Charles Rennie MacKintosh. Our Claddagh rings, too, are ideal for making promises. These rings come with or without semi-precious stones, and all are strikingly lovely in ancient Irish tradition.
