Nomex Pants
by Staff Writer
Even though Nomex is known for its durability and dependability in uniforms, many of their styles warrant themselves for wear during off hours. For men and women, Nomex pants are the comfortable alternative to many other brands of uniforms, with colors to blend with any wardrobe. The Indura Flame-Resistant Duck Work Dungaree is one of the best for wear and tear when you’re out playing hard.
The Jean Style Pants of Nomex IIIA meet NFPA standards on work uniforms for fire and emergency service. Convenient scooped front pockets make you feel right at home. They come in navy with waist sizes from 28″ to 36″ in all sizes, and 38″ to 50″ in even sizes x 37″. All come with unfinished open bottoms.
NOMEX™ is an aramid fiber manufactured by DuPont. For clothing applications, it is usually blended with KEVLAR™, another DuPont aramid. A blend of 95% NOMEX™ and 5% KEVLAR™ called NOMEX™ III has been™offered for many years. To address concerns of nuisance static electricity generation, NOMEX™ IIIA, a blend of 93% NOMEX™, 5% KEVLAR™, and 2% static dissipative fiber was introduced.
All of our Nomex garments are inherently flame resistant as well as comfortable and sturdy. While use of chlorine bleach will not diminish the protective quality of your Nomex pants or other Nomex clothing, it does cause fabric to wear out at a faster rate than when washed without. We are happy to answer any of your questions about the care of your Nomex apparel.
