A good vacation should have a little bit of everything. By the same token, a good vacation spot should be able to provide its guests with whatever opportunity they require, whether it’s a fabulous deep-sea scuba dive, or just a long beach on which to relax away the afternoon. In recent years, the world has woken up to the idea that one such versatile hot spot is the Fiji Islands.

Spanning across over 330 different islands, the Fiji archipelago offers plenty of different options for the adventurous vacationer. When it comes to water sports–be they sailing, surfing, body-boarding, windsurfing, scuba-diving, or just snorkeling–the Fiji Islands have distinct advantages. Perhaps most important, they are located right in the middle of the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean.

Of course, after a hard day on the water, it’s important to have something to come back to. Here, again, Fiji proves an excellent destination. With its multitude of excellent nightlife spots and destinations–perfectly complementing the white-beached and palm-treed paradise that so many vacationers imagine when they think of a tropical island–it’s a perfect place to relax.

The laid back atmosphere of the Fiji Islands comes as much from the people as it does from the beautiful scenery that they inhabit. Fiji islanders are famous around the world for their hospitality and laid-back attitude towards life. Their local greeting–”Bula,” meaning “Welcome”–is a perfect expression of their natural friendliness.
