Beachfront Resorts
by Staff Writer
Good beachfronts have become a rarity these days. With development increasing in even the most out-of-reach locations and world tourism reaching epidemic proportions, people are willing to search far and wide for an even slightly-decent slice of white sand and blue ocean. When they get there, however, they frequently find themselves rubbing elbows with similar-minded vacationers.
The Fiji Islands offer an excellent solution to this problem. This is because Fiji is actually a geographical stretch of over 330 separate islands, each of which offers its own little stretch of paradise to those willing to look for it. With its broad selection of resorts, hotels, motels, and other accommodations, it provides plenty of different options, not to mention something even rarer these days: some peace and quiet.
This isn’t to say that a vacation in the Fiji Islands will be boring. Quite on the contrary: numerous water and land sports are available all over the archipelago, from scuba diving and snorkeling to surfing, windsurfing, hiking, or even just playful swimming. And at the end of the day, intrepid adventurers can kick up their feet under one of the islands many palm trees, and just relax.
Still, it isn’t the great scenery or even the wealth of different available activities that makes Fiji an excellent destination. It’s the people. Their friendly “Bula” (which means “Welcome” in Fijian) will quickly become familiar to even a short-time visitor. They might even find themselves repeating the phrase to family and co-workers upon their return!
