Family Beach Vacations

Anyone who’s tried to plan a family vacation knows how it goes. One member wants to relax; another wants to go on a grand adventure; while a third isn’t sure she wants to leave the creature comforts of home at all! Pleasing everyone can seem impossible; how then to find a vacation destination that can satisfy the whole family?

A good question–but an easier one to answer than you might think. With over 330 different islands from which to choose, the Fijian archipelago offers a little bit of everything to all manner of vacationers. Its unique combination of variety and comfort has made it a very popular travel destination, particularly as word of Fiji’s tropical paradise has passed from one discriminating traveler to the next.

For those adrenaline addicts in the bunch–or just the heavy walkers–Fiji offers plenty of different activities from which to choose. snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, surfing, hiking, and many other sports are all easily facilitated by any of the archipelago’s many resorts. And all this against the stunning background of blue water and white beaches that one might expect from an island Shangri-La.

When the day is done, however, everyone will probably be ready to kick up their heels and relax. At this point, the natural Fijian virtues of friendliness and welcome will be especially soothing to exhausted travelers. Even the most skeptical family member might find herself whispering, “Finally, the perfect vacation!”
