Short Run CD Duplication

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

These days, CDs are clearly the first choice for distributing music and sound files. Even the popular MP3 format is still a distant second when it comes to getting music into somebody’s hands. If you need to make a copy or two, you can usually do it at home. And if you need to make a large order, you know it’s a good idea to send the job out. But what about short-run CD duplication?

Most people think short-run CD duplication is very expensive. It doesn’t have to be. At MediaXpress, we offer competitive prices on short-run CD duplication. Whether it’s a band demo you want to hand out after a show, or some sample tracks you’re considering for an ad campaign, we’ll get the job done with all the care we would put into a big commercial run. And we’ll get it back to you with a short turnaround.

The Complete Package, Even for Short-Run Duplication
Be sure to ask us about getting inserts and tray cards made up for your CDs, too. With CD duplication at MediaXpress, we’ll either print thermal imprint/color labels or silkscreen your discs, depending on your preference, and our graphics team is ready to assist with all the packaging needs. Just because it’s a short run doesn’t mean it isn’t important.

At MediaXpress we work with big companies, small companies, and the individual alike. No job is too big or too small. Let us show you how affordable quality short-run CD duplication can be.

Fast CD Duplication

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

There’s no question that sometimes you need things in a hurry. Copies of CDs are no exception. If an opportunity to distribute a band demo or a sound sampler arises, you need to be ready. If a duplication job you thought was being handled by somebody else hasn’t been done, you need to work fast and get the materials out there on time. And duplicating your CDs one by one on your personal PC won’t always do it, even if you burn the midnight oil.

Fast Work and Top Quality
At MediaXpress, our turnaround times for CD duplication are as fast as you need them to be. Our job is to work on your schedule, not the other way around. We can work with your needs, and still deliver the highest-quality duplication available. Just because it’s being done fast does not mean it will be done poorly.

Our duplication process involves using your master, so there’s no glass intermediary that needs to be made. And with several decks working at once, multiple copies will be duplicated at once. When we get your order, it can go straight into production. You get it to us, and we’ll get it back out to you.

And just because it’s being done quickly, that doesn’t mean you can’t have the right packaging to go with it. Our turnaround times for insert printing and silkscreening can keep pace with any job, as well. When you need it now, call us at MediaXpress.

DVD Replication Cost

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

DVD replication is a process in which an original source DVD or tape is turned into a glass master. From that master, copies are “replicated” using a stamping procedure that ensures that there is no loss in the quality. Every new DVD is “replicated” exactly.

Replication differs from duplication, which is a copying process that clones from the original source DVD, without an intermediary. DVD replication is used for larger runs, and the cost per disc will be less expensive as the number of discs ordered increases. You might be surprised at how affordable replication can be. If you are a small business that needs to make copies of a corporate video, the quality and professionalism of a DVD will easily pay for itself.

Varying Prices Online
A quick search of the Web will show you a lot of people offering DVD replication services. Some of them will offer low prices and seem like a great deal. But there is a lot to consider when copying media. The quality of the machines and the knowledge of the technicians can make the difference between a cheap job and an inexpensive one. At MediaXpress, we offer competitive prices for DVD replication, without ever sacrificing quality. In addition, our DVD replication includes mastering and silkscreen imprints of up to four colors.

No job is worth doing poorly. You won’t be satisfied, and neither will we. With years of experience and countless satisfied customers, we know we can provide you with the best DVD replication services available.

DVD Printing

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

When it comes to printing labels for your DVDs, there are two options. The first is to affix thermal imprint labels onto the disc. This is traditionally what happens with smaller duplication runs. Great-looking labels can be easily customized and printed at the highest possible quality.

The second option is to silkscreen a print onto the disc. This process is generally used for larger replication runs. Silkscreening is a process that allows you to print the image directly onto the disc, rather than onto a label. If you are unfamiliar with this process, have no fear. Our design team will be happy to guide you through the process of putting together a great-looking DVD.

Silk Screening Blank Discs
If you have media content that changes frequently, but you still want silkscreened discs, consider printing a run of blank discs that you can burn later. It’s the same idea as letterhead stationary. As printing costs get better and better, more people are turning to this idea. DVD printing, like DVD packaging, is often an overlooked element of the DVD authoring process, and pre-printing blank DVDs can provide an economical and good-looking solution.

At MediaXpress, we work with large businesses, small companies, and individuals alike. Everybody’s job is treated with the same attention to quality and detail, no matter who you are. We will work with you to get you the best-looking DVDs, at the right price. Call us today and see just how easy it can be.

DVD Duplication Services

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

Getting copies made of your DVD means that you can not only distribute it to colleagues, business associates, or family, but also make sure that your precious media is backed up. Masters can get damaged, lost or stolen. Having other copies for safekeeping is always a good idea.

There are plenty of places to get duplication services done, but none like MediaXpress. The quality and care of our work is unmatched. We use the finest equipment available and will make sure that you are satisfied with the results.

Duplication and Replication
As is the case with CDs, there is a difference between DVD duplication and DVD replication. Duplication starts with a DVD master and makes copies directly from that master. This is a good choice for smaller runs, or for people whose media is going to change frequently. Replication involves making a glass master and stamping copies from that master. This process is generally considered best for larger runs.

At MediaXpress, our high-quality duplicated DVDs include a black thermal imprint or a color label with text and logo, all in a slim line case. If you find you need professional graphic design work done to make your DVDs really stand out, our team is ready and able to assist you at all times. Best of all, we can have your order back to you in two to five business days. When you need it right away, call us at MediaXpress.

DVD Duplication Pricing

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

DVDs are lightweight, small, offer a crisp image and are easy to use. It is clear why they have quickly become the medium of choice for storing video. The next step is to get copies made.

When shopping around for DVD duplication services, make sure you understand what is included. DVD duplication prices may or may not include essentials such as inserts or menus. Naturally, these elements will affect the final cost of your product.

Good Quality, Good Prices
At MediaXpress, we offer quality DVD duplication services at competitive prices. Prices will vary according to the number of DVDs you are looking to duplicate. Larger runs will be less expensive per disc. Smaller runs may cost more per disc, but could be the right option if you only need a limited number of DVDs, or if the content of your discs is going to change in the near future. Getting a price break for a large run, but then having boxes of unused DVDs in storage, doesn’t make too much sense.

Your media is obviously important to you, whether it’s a band demo or a personal treasure. Be wary of anybody offering services at prices that seem too good to be true; most likely, you’ll get what you pay for. Treat your media well and it will last. At MediaXpress, we’ll treat it with the same care as if it were our own.

CD Silk Screening

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

CD silkscreening is the perfect solution for producing high-quality professional artwork on CDs. Silkscreening allows you to print true PMS colors and reproduces detail better than virtually any other process. Oftentimes, the difference between a winning presentation and a poor showing will be in the artwork, so let silkscreening be a part of your CD replication.

At MediaXpress, our screen press accommodates any combination of up to five colors. We offer templates to help you prepare your artwork, and our design team is ready to answer any questions you might have. Artwork can be delivered in a wide range of formats, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXpress, and any EPS or TIFF file format.

Blank Silkscreened CD-Rs
Consider also the possibility of having blank silkscreened CD-Rs to keep in stock. This is the perfect solution for people whose media changes from client to client. You can still deliver terrific, professional-looking media without having to do a large run every time. For short runs, this option provides great quality, and it is considerably less expensive than what you’d spend in inkjets and lost time.

When considering silkscreening, bear in mind that colors printed onto CDs may differ slightly from what you see on paper. At MediaXpress, however, we will make every effort to make an exact color match. Our design experts’ highest goal is to make sure that your final product is just exactly what you want it to be.

CD Replication

April 14th, 2007 · No Comments

CD replication is a great way to make terrific-sounding copies of a CD. The process works by taking an original, making it into a glass master, then pressing the master to create perfect copies. These discs are recognizable by their silver bottom, like store-bought CDs.

CD replication differs from CD duplication, and people sometimes get confused. Duplication involves a process of burning from a master without a glass intermediary, like you would if you were burning one CD at a time on a home computer. Duplicated CDs are recognizable by their greenish bottom, like blank CDs you find at office supply stores. One process isn’t necessarily better than another, and both will last for years, but for shorter runs, CDs are typically duplicated to eliminate the step of making a glass master.

Labeling
Where the processes really differ is in the labeling options. A duplicated CD will only take a printed label that is then affixed to the disc. A replicated CD will take a silkscreened label, burned directly onto the disc. This may be a consideration when it comes to considering the overall look and feel of your CDs.

At MediaXpress, we offer both duplication and replication services. Replication will be used for runs of one thousand units or more. Whatever your needs, though, know that at MediaXpress, quality is job one. We are here to work with you to find the right solution for you whenever you’re ready.

CD Insert Printing

April 13th, 2007 · No Comments

What would a CD be without an insert telling you what’s on the disc itself? Imagine a book without a cover and you’ve got a CD without an insert. A CD insert is printed material that fits seamlessly into a CD jewel case. It gives you, the author, a chance to tell your audience what awaits them on the disc. It is an often overlooked but critical piece of the CD puzzle.

Artwork can go on the disc itself, but there’s a limited amount of space. Make sure your presentation is complete with an insert. CD inserts can be used for song titles, lyrics, artwork, biographical information, historical information, and most importantly, contact information. In addition, tray cards for the back side of the jewel case make sure that you can see the label when a CD is shelved. There are few things more frustrating than a row of unmarked CDs when you’re looking for something specific.

The First Impression
At MediaXpress we offer two-panel printing (one sheet, front and back), four-panel printing (a two page fold-out, front and back), six-panel printing (a three page fold-out, front and back) and tray cards. If you have existing artwork and are able to deliver it in an appropriate format, our graphics department can quickly set up your insert. If you don’t have artwork, we’ll be happy to work with you to get a great looking insert.

We also have full four-color offset printing capabilities and high speed copying, all at competitive prices. A well designed CD insert can be as important as the CD itself. It is, after all, a person’s first impression. At MediaXpress, the quality of your insert will be matched by the great quality of your CDs.

CD Duplication Services

April 13th, 2007 · No Comments

As more and more people continue to store media on CDs, the need for duplication services has grown. Everyone from the casual karaoke crooner to the emerging concert pianist to the voice-over artist and book reader, to the biggest media companies in the world needs CD copies on the market. And as more media is distributed on CD, getting this process right is more important than ever.

Some have chosen to burn their own CDs at home, and there is equipment for this, but consumer equipment is limited in scope and quality. The majority of home equipment cannot burn multiple discs. Even a small run of 100 discs can be extremely time consuming. Consider that the time lost spent standing over your machine may not actually make it all that cost-effective. Also, the quality of consumer CD burners is generally lower than commercial models.

Top of the Line
At MediaXpress we offer state-of-the-art CD duplication services. Duplication is a process in which the media from an original CD is copied, then duplicated exactly onto a blank, unused, writable disc. There is no loss in this process. Your duplicated CD will sound exactly the same as your original.

Different quality discs are used by different duplication services. This can directly affect the final product you receive. Discs can also be burned at different speeds, which can also adversely affect your final product. At MediaXpress we work with the finest machines and top grade discs to ensure the best possible duplication for a competitive price.
